Introduction

Hello to all of you historical analysts and website designers. Are you ready for the chance of a life time? The History Channel has decided to do a show about the ancient institutions created or enhanced around the Greek Classical era that paved the way to the modern world. However, before they air the show, they want a professional website created, and they are opening it up to teams around the country. This is our chance folks to make a website that will blow the History Channel Associates away, and if we do, our website will be the premier website for their series. So I charge you to step up to the challenge and taste this gourmet serving of awesomeness, to create a website that will take folks back in time and satisfy their raging curiosity. Good luck and remember this is team effort so use your team!

Task

Your task as collective whole is to create a website for the History Channel to publish on their website after they air a documentary on the Ancient World. Some of you are historical analyst while the rest of you are website designers. You will be divided into groups with equal numbers of web site designers and historical analysts. Each group will be in charge of a different part of the website. As a whole your website will include the institutions that paved the way for the Greek Empire as well as the institutions that survived after the fall of the Greek Empire. Once you have completed the website it will be presented to the History Channel Associates along with many other websites created by other groups of specialists. Only the best website will win a chance to be the main website the History Channel uses for its extras after the documentary. If you follow the rubrics given to you there should be no reason why you do not win the opportunity given to you. Best of luck, and remember this is collaborative effort so help each other out.

Conclusion

Now that you have won this prestigious award, it is time to kick back, relax, and reflect. As a team you have conquered the seemingly insurmountable feat of creating a website that reflects the institutions that were created and perfected by the Greeks. As a cooperative whole you have successfully explained how each of these institutions changed and developed under Greek influence. I now challenge you to think back on the information you have learned and just simply compare it to the same surviving institutions of today. Are the institutions at all the same, or have they changed completely? Since you are the experts now, I will let you decide that on your own.
